My name is Brittany and I'm 23 years old. On May 4, 2009 my life changed in a blink of an eye.I was a passenger in a high speed car accident. The car was totaled and I'm lucky to be here today. I recived a spinal cord injury from a broken neck at level c6-c7 causing me to be paralyzed chest down.I have a total different outlook on life since that day, I will never take anything for granted.I raced Motocross all my life and was a top girl in Hawaii, having to race with the boys. A huge goal of mine with my recovery is to one day ride again, even race. The accident happened while I was living in Hawaii then I came to California where my parents were for rehab. I am now working hard in therapy to gain back as much feeling/movement possible. I will not give up on my WILL 2 WALK...It's now my personal mission to share my story with the world; to inspire others, let people know these things happen to anyone, keep people who have spinal injuries positive because we are still here for a reason and I also hope people make better decisions about driving after reading my story.
